Tsong-kha-pa’s Great Treatise on the Stages of the Path to Enlightenment (Lam rim chen mo)
This three-volume masterwork is the book that His Holiness will be teaching on during the six days of teachings. It contains the complete instructions for the stages of spiritual evolution from our ordinary, unenlightened state to the complete enlightenment of a buddha. It is said that His Holiness the Dalai Lama has read this text more than eighty times. His Holiness has stated that he greatly appreciates when attendees come to his teachings having prepared ahead of time by reading the text from which he will teach. Recent Release!
Tsong-kha-pa’s Final Exposition of Wisdom by Jeffrey Hopkins. 384 pages, special sale price: $23.96.
Leading scholar of Tibetan Buddhism Jeffrey Hopkins elucidates Tsong-kha-pa’s view of emptiness, the linchpin of Buddhist philosophy. Drawing upon two of Tsong-kha-pa’s revered works—The Medium-Length Exposition of the Stages of the Path and his commentary to Chandrakirti’s Supplement to Nagarjuna’s Treatise on the Middle—Hopkins contrasts Tsong-kha-pa’s views with those of Dol-bo-ba Shay-rab Gyel-tsen, thereby bringing to light the intricate issues at stake in their systematic presentations on the nature of reality.
